Johnna Fogal, RDH - General Manager Johnna graduated from Platte County High School in 2002. She then went to Park University and attained a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology. Johnna completed her dental hygiene training at the UMKC School of Dentistry. She has worked in the dental field, strictly in orthodontics, for 8 years. Her favorite thing to do is walk her dog, Jasmine.
Julie - Patient Coordinator Julie is currently studying to be a high school teacher. She has been able to be a part of the Kauffman Scholar Program bringing better education to families all around the Greater Kansas City area. She has been blessed to be a part of companies and groups of people that are always trying to change lives for the better. "Creating a better tomorrow and people to face that tomorrow is one of the most important things to Julie. That is one of the greatest parts of working with Dr. Burleson and our team at Burleson Orthodontics. Creating healthier, happier smiles is one of the neatest things someone can give to another person. I love being at the front of it! It is so exciting and energizing to meet people at the door from the day they choose to make a difference in their lives through the day they leave without braces with that smile of self-confidence, beauty, and health. It's great to be a part of it! Smiles really do change lives, and being able to walk out and spread your smile to the world is really amazing."
Lauren - Financial Coordinator Lauren has been with Burleson Orthodontics since Feb 2009 as the Treatment Coordinator. She graduated from William Jewell College with a Biology Major, Chemistry Minor. Lauren loves to dance, watch theatre productions, and hang out with family and friends as much as possible. She and her husband, Brandon, are expecting their first child in April of 2010. Lauren's favorite thing about working in Orthodontics is the patients! The day the braces come off is the best day! To see the patient smile confidently from ear to ear because they are so excited about their new smile is the best thing ever.
Michelle - Clinical Assistant Michelle has been an orthodontic assistant since 2001. She received her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certificate from the American Dental Association and Missouri Dental Association in 2002. What she loves about orthodontics is "the long lasting effect you have on a patient who can look in the mirror and smile and they are still happy years down the road." Michelle also loves to see the before and after photos of our patients. "It makes me feel great knowing I played a part in helping our patients receive a beautiful smile." Michelle has lived in the Kansas City Northland her entire life and graduated from Park Hill High School. She has two boys, Hunter and Brody, and they keep her very busy. A few of her hobbies include traveling, shopping, golfing and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Texas Longhorns. She is also a big NASCAR fan.
Ashley - Clinical Assistant Ashley Popejoy has been working at Burleson Orthodontics since 2007. She currently is a third year dental student at UMKC, so you will mainly see her on Saturday mornings. Ashley loves to read and spend time with her husband and two dogs. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is the chance to talk to and help all of our wonderful patients!
